This art project and I went through a lot together. It became my friend. It became my coping mechanism. When the loneliness of an ongoing global pandemic felt as ubiquitous as the summer humidity in New Orleans, I dived heart-first into the process of making this record.

When nothing made sense, I made sense out of making You Are The Truth. Let Your Eyes Adjust. I am sad to see it go, but I am excited to see what it becomes.

We discovered a new sense of play in the endless variation of arpeggios, in the pitch shift of a snare drum. Together, we looked for meaning in the process of making art, and dear listener, I think we found it.

I turned to this work when the world turned inside out, and I hope you do, too, from time to time. I hope this art provides you with as much comfort to listen to as it did me to make it.
